Missionary Testimonies
To call Mission Youth one of the best spiritual experiences I've ever had would not be an overstatement in any way, shape, or form. I am not yet a member of Regnum Christi, and participating in Mission Youth was only my second real encounter with the Movement. But what a beautiful encounter it was! My fellow missionaries, the priests guiding the missions, and the members of the parish where we were based provided such an inspiring witness for their faith that a sense of the Kingdom of God fully alive and at work in our little corner in Georgia permeated the week entirely. Putting all of my memories and feelings into words would be too difficult a task for me to do right here and now, but I can say one thing assuredly: the Gospel values of faith, hope, and charity that I encountered during this past Holy Week with Mission Youth will never slip out of memory or be far from my heart. William Babeaux
The most important part of the Holy Week missions was having a Legionary priest available for confessions at the trailer park. There was a man who after 35 years was able to confess just because the priest came to his neighborhood. Also there are a lot of young boys, who at the site of the priest were inspired to ask him about his vocation. Many of the children we encountered had not made their first communion but were hungry for more knowledge of Christ. Lily DeLeon
There were several people who were suffering through some big crosses in their lives. They were touched to have someone knock on their door and offer to pray for them. Several were moved to tears through the spontaneous prayers that were offered because they felt God's love come to them. Tracey Stringer
The people we met in Hartwell were awesome. No matter what their Creed they all respect and accept each other as equals. We had people who had never met us invite us in to talk about ourselves, life, and the faith. Another thing I got out of the retreat was the fellowship and support of all the other missionaries. I felt happier than I have felt in a long time just spending a week with a bunch of my peers in an environment of prayer and joy. Being on missions with these guys left me wanting for more and helped me decide to give next year to Christ as a Co-Worker. Kevin O’Neill
