Holy Week Missionaries Share Faith with Parish Communities
Chicago (April 18) – More than 200 missionaries participated in 15 parish missions during the Easter Holy Week, calling on more than 4,500 homes to invite the faithful to Easter services.
The MissionYouth missionaries included families, children, young people and adults from around the country who came to Chicago to evangelize during the most holy time of the Church year. MissionYouth is a program of the Regnum Christi movement and exists to evangelize people by sending missionaries out into the community to witness to Christ and his message.
MissionYouth was founded in Bethesda, Maryland in 1995 and has conducted over 700 parish missions with youth and adult missionaries in the United States and internationally. To date, MissionYouth has knocked on over 200,000 doors with over 7000 missionaries.
